All newly hired officers are required to successfully complete the Field Training Program which requires a minimum of 14 weeks of “on the job” training after completion of the Basic Police Academy. The Davie Police Department’s Field Training Program is designed so that each trainee will have the necessary instruction and understanding to function as a Road Patrol Officer and productive member of the Department. The Program's goal is to produce highly trained and positively motivated police officers capable of meeting the standards of performance required by the Davie Police Department.
